About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Tax Deals Portfolio team based in London
The role sits within the Private Equity Portfolio (PE Portfolio) Tax team,one of the most successful teams within PwC’s Deals Tax network. Our PE Portfolio team advises Private Equity backed businesses, working collaboratively across specialisms to drive value and help our clients succeed at all stages of the deal lifecycle.
The role would suit a candidate with a strong UK corporate tax background, a good awareness of other taxes, as well as experience of managing client accounts. Experience of transaction work and/or the Private Equity market is desirable, but not essential, as full training and support would be provided
What your days will look like:
• You will work in a team providing tax advisory services to a range of PE portfolio company clients delivering bespoke tax advice in relation to the PE portfolio company and the transactions it is involved with. The work is wide-ranging including international tax and supporting our clients throughout the deal cycle.
• Play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with clients. In particular, working closely with clients to provide them with proactive innovative and commercial tax services.
• Seek specialist input from other parts of tax and wider network - in particular Transaction Service and non-UK teams
• Be actively involved in business development activities, helping to identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients
This role is for you if:
• Must possess a ACA or CTA Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
• UK corporate tax skills and experience as well as good awareness of other taxes (VAT, employment taxes, management taxes etc)
• Some transaction or PE Portfolio experience is desirable, but not essential
• A flexible approach to allow you to work as part of a number of client/transaction teams simultaneously
• Ability to build internal and external relationships and networks, both within the UK and overseas
