About the role:
Legal Operations brings together a multi-disciplinary approach combining knowledge and skills across the legal, regulatory, data, technology and delivery management domains. We deliver successful business outcomes on a range of different types of work at varying scales including; managing large data-led contract remediation engagements, providing legal support on individual contract negotiations and running client outreach and query management helpdesks.
This opportunity is in our fast growing team as a Legal Operations - Senior Associate | Financial Services. We are looking for legal-focused professionals who have experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating financial contracts in a legal and/or financial environment.
What your days will look like:
The responsibilities of each role will vary depending on client needs but may include:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of financial contracts following a predefined approach to negotiations
Managing escalations of complex cases, ensuring the right SME insight is obtained and cases are brought to a resolution & Client outreach activities across a number of different regulations and document types.
Supporting customer service activities and supporting junior members of the team handling complex or difficult client situations
Case and documentation review - analysing legal and other documents to identify key facts, anomalies, etc, for categorisation and checking legal documentation for quality, consistency and content
This role is for you if you have:
Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating financial contracts within in-house legal departments/law firm or corporate environments
Proven analytical and sceptical mindset with an ability to develop solutions to technical problems
Excellent written and verbal negotiation skills
Experience in reporting on complex cases to include progress and issues
