JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

We’re a fast-growing, high-impact team within Strategy&, PwC’s global strategy consulting business. Sitting at the intersection of strategy, advanced analytics, and financial modelling, we support private equity investors, corporates, and public institutions on their most critical commercial decisions.

Our purpose is to turn data into competitive advantage. We work across the deal lifecycle – from pre-deal diligence to post-deal transformation – helping clients unlock value, drive commercial performance, and track impact in real time.

We combine strategic thinking, analytical depth, and commercial pragmatism to deliver tangible outcomes. Whether it’s pricing, go-to-market strategy, operational improvement or real-time KPI tracking, we help clients move from insight to impact – quickly and confidently.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team where you’ll tackle complex problems, work directly with senior decision-makers, and build a career at the frontier of strategy and analytics.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Manager, you’ll lead high-impact workstreams, manage exceptional teams, and be a trusted partner to clients – from private equity deal teams to C-suite leaders and government executives.

You’ll help answer questions like:
Where should we play? How can we win? What is the data really telling us?

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading value creation and analytics work across the deal lifecycle – including diligence, transformation, and operational improvement

  • Building and reviewing dynamic, driver-based financial models grounded in commercial realities

  • Translating complex datasets into practical, strategic recommendations

  • Designing strategies across pricing, segmentation, GTM, sales effectiveness, and margin improvement

  • Developing KPI dashboards and tools for real-time performance tracking

  • Communicating insights clearly to non-technical audiences

  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members

  • Contributing to business development, thought leadership, and team growth

This Role is for You If…

  • You blend strategic thinking with technical rigour – and love solving complex problems in a structured, explainable way

  • You can bridge the gap between analytics and business – translating numbers into narratives that shape decisions

  • You have experience building (and reviewing) scenario-led, commercial financial models

  • You understand the levers that drive business performance – and can articulate them with clarity

  • You enjoy working at pace, tackling ambiguity, and partnering with clients at the highest level

  • You’re passionate about developing talent – and helping others grow their modelling and analysis skills

What You Bring

  • Experience in strategy consulting, M&A, private equity, FP&A, or a commercial analytics role

  • Strong modelling skills, including dynamic, scenario-based Excel modelling

  • Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or Alteryx

  • A structured problem-solving mindset and a strong bias for action

  • Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders

Preferred, but not essential:

  • Experience in professional services or consulting

  • An accountancy qualification such as ACA or international equivalent

What We Offer

  • Exposure to high-visibility, commercially critical projects across private equity, FTSE corporates, and public sector clients

  • A dynamic, high-performance and collaborative team that blends strategy, analytics, modelling and execution – not just slides and dashboards

  • An entrepreneurial and supportive environment with the backing of the global PwC network

  • Ongoing mentorship, training, and access to global capabilities across Strategy& and PwC

  • The chance to shape your career across a wide range of sectors, disciplines, and specialisms

  • A clear path for progression – with the opportunity to shape the growth and direction of the team

If you’re looking to accelerate your career while solving meaningful problems at the intersection of data and strategy – we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.

This role requires flexibility to travel throughout the UK.
