This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our Execution Managed Services (EMS) and Operate Risk Management team within the UK’s Risk Management function.

This Senior Manager role is focused on supporting and leading a range of risk management activities to enable the firm to safely deliver its Managed Services Strategy.

What your days will look like:

  • Senior Risk Management professional with a commercial focus, experienced in supporting business growth strategies and engaging with diverse teams both remotely and in-person.
  • Proven leadership skills, fostering positive team spirit, effective collaboration, and shared objectives within a diverse work environment.
  • Expertise in identifying, managing, and mitigating risks associated with client delivery, aligned with firm’s go-to-market strategies.
  • Balanced and pragmatic approach to risk management throughout the lifecycle, from client acceptance to project governance and exit strategies.
  • Proficient in relationship building and stakeholder management, effectively managing expectations and ensuring timely project delivery, including at the Partner level.
  • Strong communication skills, adept at conveying complex concepts clearly to a diverse audience and committed to upskilling others through guidance and training in risk management.

This role is for you if:

  • Lead a portfolio of projects for Operate and EMS, e.g. at the request of the Operate Executive Board and/or EMS Leadership, applying an appropriate risk aware mindset, navigating change, reporting on progress, adhering to deadlines and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Apply risk management principles and processes, provide day-to-day risk management support to Operate engagement teams and the EMS virtual Business Unit, and advise and collaborate with LoS Risk Management teams in relation to EMS risks.
  • Build and manage trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders to gather input and resolve issues. This will include liaising with subject matter experts and specialist teams, in areas such as Independence, Conflicts and Ethics team, Office of General Counsel, Data Protection and HC as well as Operate’s Delivery Office and business teams.
  • Create effective oral and written communications, simplifying complex concepts, providing well-reasoned and self-assured responses to stakeholders, developing guidance and training content in easy to digest forms and delivering this to Risk Management and business teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operate and EMS Team Leader, CRO and a range of stakeholders to produce analysis and reporting, for example in relation to higher risk engagements and top risks impacting the Operate and EMS business.
  • Flex your style, adapt to changing priorities and requirements, and manage your time across a portfolio of activities, including balancing working efficiently on your own, delegating to others and contributing as part of a wider team.
  • Take an active role in supporting the team operations, including running team meetings and knowledge sharing.
