About the role
Our Private Business team specialise in advising privately owned and Private Equity backed businesses together with owners and management teams on all aspects of tax in the UK and abroad. Collaboration with other areas of the business enables us to work holistically with clients to find solutions to achieve their plans.
Our curious minds and collaborative spirit enables us to work together, helping clients navigate the ever changing tax landscape. As part of the team you’ll be actively encouraged to consult, to share specialist knowledge and new ideas as we continue to innovate to deliver best in class service.
We are looking for individuals with significant and varied experiences of advising privately owned or Private Equity backed businesses and business owners on a broad range of complex matters.
What your days will look like;
- Working closely with experienced Private Business Partners and Directors to develop new client relationships and pursue opportunities within the market.
- Ownership for a diverse and broad portfolio of client engagements, including privately owned and private equity portfolio companies, advising on a wide range of transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, demergers, and restructurings.
- Developing significant market relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, collaborating across the firm on client relationships and complex projects.
- Maintaining expert tax knowledge, stay updated with tax law changes, advise on tax technical issues, and supervise, coach, and provide feedback to team members.
The role is for you if;
- Must possess a ACA and/or CTA qualification (or and international equivalent)
- Extensive and up-to-date tax knowledge, with experience in complex tax issues for privately or family-owned businesses, private equity portfolio companies, and business owners.
- Strong project management and excellent communication skills, capable of handling multiple client projects and serving as the point of contact for complex engagements.
- Proficient in using technology for managing client relationships, pursuing opportunities, and delivering analysis, while coaching and developing team members.
