About the role
PwC works with clients to help them define and implement their Global Payroll Strategy, this often involves transforming the function, with clients ranging from small teams to large multinational complex organisations. As part of our growth plans in the payroll consulting market, we are now looking for an experienced Senior Manager to help drive our payroll services. You will be part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. This role is open to all our national offices and will involve some client travel. We are open to candidates at manager level, so if you’re not currently working at Senior Manager grade and would be interested in joining the team please submit an application.
You will use various tools and techniques to extract insights from industry trends, develop strategies, solve issues, and help design the future of the function. You will manage small to mid-sized work streams and teams, handling consulting engagements with clients from proposing and scoping to developing or overseeing deliverables. This role is ideal if you are passionate about Global Payroll, knowledgeable about processes and multi-country operating models, eager to be part of a growing team, and have a proven record of making positive changes in the payroll function.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively manage stakeholder relationships with payroll providers and clients
Good understanding of the main global payroll providers
Drafting payroll solution RFPs for clients
Drafting global payroll strategies for clients demonstrating breadth of knowledge of the global payroll marketplace and providers
A good understanding of potential payroll models - in house, outsourced, fully managed and the advantages of each
Leading RFP responses from clients who are looking to work with a consultancy to assist them in defining and implementing their global payroll strategy.
Ensuring risks to the BAU payroll cycle are identified and mitigated, additional controls steps put in pace if required and lessons learned.
This role is for you if:
Experience of working with and managing relationships with outsourced payroll providers
Experience of working with a broad range of payroll providers
Experience of working with multi-million pound payrolls
Strong relationship and team management skills
Resilient under pressure, able to deliver under tight deadlines and manage a varied workload
Proactive, happy to work without supervision as well as part of a team
Skilled in evaluating and analysing payroll activities
Comfortable with complexity and able to explain complex issues/concepts in a simple way
Able to communicate effectively with a variety of people across all levels of seniority and technical experience
Payroll management certification
