JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Indirect Tax Services group. You will be working in our FTSE 100 team that also covers a broad range of multinational clients and overseas parented groups. You would be joining a successful and growing team.

We are essentially a consulting business and little of our work is routine. Projects range from one-off initiatives providing bespoke solutions to specific problems, working collaboratively with other specialisms within PwC to deliver a joined up solution to the client, through to advising UK clients on their international VAT obligations. One thing is guaranteed the indirect tax practice, and the mid-tier in particular, offers a wide variety of opportunities.

What your days will look like:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

This role is for you if:

  • A proven track record in advising clients from a range of sectors and industries on complex Valued Added Tax (VAT) issues.

  • A motivated, proactive individual that has the ability to build and maintain their own client relationships.

  • To be able to assist in the development of VAT technical offerings and to easily disseminate complex messages in a manner that is easy to understand.

  • The ability to support the development of junior staff.

  • Someone who will respond well to being encouraged to shape and actively manage their career development through involvement in a broad variety of work.

  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills. Excellent project management skills.

  • A commercial, client service driven approach to your work.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
