About the role:

The Banking and Capital Markets Tax team (BCM Tax) advises a diverse range of institutions, from major banks to fintech firms and private equity houses. Based in London, the team is a key part of PwC’s global network, supporting both UK and international clients. Our services span tax advisory, deals, audit, and compliance, with sector specialists offering deep expertise. The industry is undergoing significant transformation, making it a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. We are recruiting a Manager, seeking motivated, high-quality candidates eager to address the technical challenges of this evolving sector and contribute to our ambitious growth objectives.
 

What your days will look like:
 

  • Successful candidates will receive structured career development support, including promotion opportunities to Senior Manager and beyond.

  • Opportunities to work across the full range of BCM Tax’s clients and services.

  • Potential to collaborate with other PwC services, including Audit, Consulting, Deals, and Risk, as well as the international PwC network.

  • Encouragement to develop client relationships, lead teams, innovate work methods, and drive new technology uses.

The role is for you if:

  • Must possess an accounting or tax qualification (or an international equivalent)

  • Lead day-to-day delivery on complex projects, coach and mentor

  • Ability to develop self and others

  • Strong interest in the banking and capital markets sector

  • Motivated individual with a desire for a permanent career in tax

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Both numerate and literate

  • Confident with accounting concepts (ideally including tax accounting)

  • Banking or financial services specific experience would be preferable.

  • M&A or other transaction related experience would be helpful.
