JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role:

Our Resource Management (RM) team ensure we have the right people for the right jobs, at the right time, in the right places.

Resource Management works collaboratively with our business to deliver successful people deployment solutions and build quality client teams. We play a key role in the delivery of our People Priorities; Fair Work Access, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Development, Engagement and providing Career Enhancing Experiences for our people. As the workforce of the future takes shape it’s an exciting time to be in Resource Management and play a pivotal role in driving our strategy and ambitions forward.

As a Resource Manager you will be responsible for managing a team of Resource Officers to deliver workforce and people deployment solutions, often in fast paced and changing environments. You will work in partnership with stakeholders, using your commercial mindset, business acumen and Management Information (MI) to inform and influence decisions.

You have the opportunity to learn key leadership skills from established and successful stakeholders and the opportunities to develop and progress professionally are significant for those with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset.

What your day will look like:

  • You will be responsible for the management of all demand requests using workforce planning systems. Drawing on your knowledge and understanding of the portfolio’s growth plans, you will provide the business with pragmatic advice on people deployment and resourcing solutions that drive growth and profitability.

  • You will oversee the operational rhythm and delivery of reporting insights, ensuring they are informative and highlight clear trends, risks and recommended actions for the business.

  • You will conduct regular portfolio reviews with client-facing staff to maximise utilisation, facilitate development, and ensure fair allocation of work for each individual. You will interpret and analyse Management Information (MI) to identify trends, make connections, and spot opportunities for improving profitability and employee engagement.

  • You will manage and coach Resource Officers, ensuring they optimise headcount to increase utilisation whilst balancing the impact on employee engagement.

This role is for you if:

  • You bring experience from Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Recruitment, or Operational people management.

  • You excel in stakeholder management and influencing, with the ability to build authentic long-term relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders.

  • You demonstrate resilience and the ability to work under pressure, with a proven ability to operate under conflicting priorities, tight deadlines, and demanding stakeholder needs.

  • You communicate with impact, using different communication styles appropriate to the audience.

  • You have strong commercial and business acumen, including the ability to use resourcing metrics and KPIs to inform decision-making across a business unit. Additionally, you possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • You are committed to personal and team development, seeking challenges and opportunities that stretch the team and provide an engaging work environment.

    What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
