As a part of PwC, you will support clients in developing their Operations objectives by building best in class capabilities or transforming the way the company designs and
operates across its Value Chain.
As a Director within the Operations Transformation group, you are a thought-partner to clients, helping them to shape ideas and solve complex problems. You will do this by
building trust and confidence with senior level clients. You will lead and support projects for clients that deliver best in class results leveraging capabilities from across the Firm.
You will be working with consultants from across our global offices and you will have the opportunity to interact with leading international clients across industries with a focus on
Pharma and Life Sciences.
On client projects, you will be the point-of-contact for senior client stakeholders and ensure both high quality delivery and further business development. Typical daily activities include structuring client problems, story-boarding project approaches to complex operational questions and coordinating multiple workstreams.
Outside of engagements, Directors are considered mentors within the firm, acting as people-managers and career coaches for across the team and across the cluster of
G&HI. A significant part of your role will be coaching and developing our junior team to upskill their capabilities in operations consulting and supply chain subject matter expertise.
Engaging across the firm with the Life Sciences and Supply Chain community is key to growing our brand and our Firm. You will use your industry network and supply chain
knowledge to develop thought leading insights and build new tools to help clients.
PwC offers in-depth training across all consulting levels and will support your development throughout your career. Using a combination of formal training programs and on-the-job feedback learning, our consultants combine core analytical thinking with hypothesis-driven approaches to deliver tangible client deliverables.
Key Deliverables
● Manage client engagements from operations strategy development to execution.
● Use analytical, hypothesis-driven thinking to form and shape solutions to complex supply chain problems.
● Lead on project proposals and develop new business opportunities across the Operations Value Chain.
● Manage the development and functioning of the project team, providing guidance and coaching to members.
● Coach and development junior team members, to develop their career with a focus on knowledge of operational best practices and the Life Sciences Industry.
● Participate, as needed, with recruitment and act as a people manager to teams of between 5-10 people.
● Engage with the broader Operations transformation and Life Sciences community to develop firm presence, including thought leadership.
The Essentials
● Commercial and strategic knowledge about business and industry trends in Supply Chain Operations and use analytical, problem-solving techniques to break down
complex issues .
● A track record of customer focused engagements either from a consulting background or from industry delivering quality work for clients, demonstrating an understanding of the client, professional standards and maintaining client relationships
● A track record in business development, commercial or sales
● Experience managing teams of minimum 3-5 individuals
● Experience within supply chain management with a strategy/management consulting focus or senior level position of Director or above.
